Bush Fatigue Sweepstakes

Posted by Justin Raimondo on July 26, 2007

Will George W. Bush beat out Harry Truman and Richard Nixon as the President with the lowest poll ratings ever? 65 percent currently disapprove of Dubya’s job performance, whereas Truman reached 67 percent during the Korean War and Nixon hit 66 percent four days before resigning. Place your bets here ...

Without a doubt… it’s a matter of days or weeks before he crashes through the floor.

I don’t think it’s possible.  the rest of the people in thecountry are currently employed by the bush administration, either by the new private “intelligence” companies (42 billion a year) or just general government expansion under Bush.

In Bush’s case, I think we need to discard the
“Disapproval Of” rating and move on to the
“Totally Disgusted With” rating.

Is there any indication of people jumping ship with
Truman and LBJ to the extent they are with W? Also,
with the increasing number of Americans who have
suspicions about government cover-ups having to do
with 9/11, I would imagine 65% is modest. The internet
with its ability to dissect truth from fiction, and
get the truth immediately to the people without any
filters, is bound to get that percentage up. Way up.
And boy does he deserve it. I predict he’ll crack 75%.

That Dubya’s disapproval level is *only* 65% sounds incredible. A leader so obviously incompetent would have far less support in any other western country.

Why are we still debating George W.’s insanity? You can write millions of words but it all boils down to: The guy’s a jerk.

Am I the only one worried about the last Executive Order signed July 17? Not only can they take us from our homes without informing anyone, filing charges, or allowing representation, they can now ‘block’, (Bush’s word for ‘siezed’), any property or financial assets of anyone performing “an act” undermining his authority in Iraq. My published letters to the editor may place me in that category....

Yes June, that EO gives Bush the power to do whatever he likes since if you disagree with him you effect his ability as CiC, which will effect his ability to run the Iraq war. All Bush has to say is that he thinks some people don’t love him and that dosn’t make him feel good or it annoys him or has an effect upon his ability to run the Iraq war and you become guilty.

Reminds me of a twilight zone episode where a child had the ability to make anyone he didn’t like vanish.

Fact is, he’s not doing anything our beloved
Honest Abe didn’t do. Actually he hasn’t even
approached the top of that(yet.)
Lincoln deported congressmen, arrested Judges,
shut down newspapers and murdered hundreds of
thousands Americans with impunity.

What a marvelous and wonderful President he was
and our Federal Government worships every executive
wart on his face.
And George? He’s only trying to save the Union,
right? In the face of that, isn’t liberty expendable?

We can always “re-declare” ourselves free once the
arrests and killing stops. Right?

dow do-be-do dow down, makin-it-up will be hard to do.

Bush’s approval will mirror the Dow, and I expect the latter to be below 7500 by 9/11/7.

Not that Congress (the opposite of Progress) will have any higher ratings.
