Fire Virginia Heffernan
Check out the collapse of the latest attempt to smear the principled, honorable, and honest Ron Paul--the only conservative in the presidential race. Kudos to Justin Raimondo and Lew Rockwell and the thousands of “pesky” Ron Paul supporters who Fisked Virginia Heffernan’s sophomoric blog smear (which now runs complete with retraction). For fun, read the torrent of finely written comments in the Times‘ forum, holding Heffernan’s pedicured feet to the fire.
Takimag also did its part, running one expose by Justin, and one by Jack Ross.
Now it’s time for the NY Times to do its professional duty--and fire the hack who tried to torpedo a presidential candidate with a sloppy story that wouldn’t have made the grade at the Yale Daily News, or even the LSU Reveille. Heffernan doesn’t belong at the “newspaper of record.” I’m sure they can find a spot for her on the network of papal knight Rupert Murdoch....

John that is incredible. I went to the link that you included in your article and there was nothing but Ron Paul supporters ripping Virgina Heffernan. Did you edit it or something? I just thought it was remarkable how many Ron Paul supporters. I read at least 25 or more and it was still all Ron Paul!!1 My guess is that Heffernans’ piece is to smoke out the amount of Ron Paul support and to see how well received a hit piece would be.

her bio said she was an entertainment critic before. She probably has no clue who robert taft was or anything else. politics is part of the entertainment gossip- sphere. she didn’t create it, fire wonkette, chris matthews, and the rest of them if you are going to fire ms hefferenan who also according to her bio is blonde and young looking and good looking

Ms. Heffernan is in a business that has as it’s sworn duty to misinform the American people. She is also in a business that is competetive and stories on Ron Paul sell even if they aer smears. The Ron Paul people will come to his rescue and bring up the number of hits for the dying rag known as the New Yrok Times.
