New Ron Paul Money Bomb
Posted by F.J. Sarto on November 28, 2007
Ron Paul’s supporters forced the media to pay attention with their (okay, OUR) Nov. 5 “money bomb,” if only because it broke fundraising records. The credibility this achievement gained for the campaign was incalcuable--but much of that money is already committed or spent. So the same folks who put together the Guy Fawkes event are asking us to pony up again on Friday, Nov. 30. I hope you will all take part, as I will--and email your friends asking them to do the same. To pledge your donation and receive a reminder on Friday, click here. ♠

I thought the next Paul money raiser was on December 16. The day of the Boston Tea Party. I will be donating again.

They had planned a money bomb on the 16th, which they are still doing, but the campaign sent out an email two weeks ago saying they need to not only raise, but also spend, the money by the end of the quarter. Since most of the radio and TV spots must be purchased weeks in advance, waiting until the 16th was going to make it tight for the campaign to spend it all before the first primaries. So, the guy organizing the 16th money bomb decided to do another money bomb in the meantime. I’m donating to both.

I am donating for both, and I also put up 100 for the Ron Paul blimp which is one of those “so crazy it just might work” ideas.
The Ron Paul blimp already claims to have enough money pledged, but they have 49 donors of 5K (which gets you a ride in the blimp) and I am suspect about these pledges.
I think it will create a high level of buzz, to have a blimp.

Ron Paul’s lack of progress in opinion polls is disappointing and disheartening.Maybe the American people are not interested in his ideas. He has yet to touch 10% in any mainstream opinion poll, despite impressive fund-raisng. Krishnan.

The opinion Polls are so far off it is funny. I checked out Cnn today and overwhelmingly the viewers picked Ron Paul as the winner in all categories except for most dissapointing which went to Giulliani. I rated the You Tube debate this way.
1. Ron Paul winner again and distancing himself from the field.
2. Tancredo -said that money shouldn’t be spent to send someone to Mars.
3. Duncan Hunter for buy American this Christmas.
4. Huckabee-Funny at times.
5. Giulliani-effectively dodged his lack of true conservative values.
6. Romney-for stating that he would sign a federal law illegalizing abortion.
7. Thompson-can’t remember anything he said.
8. McCain- The clear loser. Rightfully drew boos when he attacked Ron Paul and invoked Hitler. He obviously has nothing but disdain for the American people.

Anybody in the NYC area who is interested in Ron Paul’s campaign should get downtown to our Head Quarters at 515 W. 29th St.
I saw the debate there and it was a blast! Really eclectic group of people...From hardhats to hipsters - professionals to punkers.
Why the diversity?
In the words of the late, great Jean Shepherd; “ We’re all in the same boat - and the boat is apparently sinking.”
Our Ship of State needs bailing out.

I just sent out another $100 today. That makes $300 total not counting what I spend on his official store purchasing literature, bumper stickers, pins, signs, and a hat. I have developed a Ron Paul spending habit.
