Message: Entry: A Revealing Rally Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/a_revealing_rally#10015 Post contents: I enjoyed the article, and I am hopeful that if we can maintain the fundraising momentum then the media will give him more attention. When Dr. Paul gets a chance he delivers his message well. There is no need for a teleprompter when you speak from the heart. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to respond quickly and intelligently to any question. Though I may not always agree with his position I never doubt his sincerity. When a politician answers on deeply held convictions there is no reason to waiver. When a politician answers based on the audience or latest opinion poll they will hesitate, side-step the question, backtrack, or contradict themselves. I would encourage those who feel a need to respond viscerally to negative media, blogs or personal encounters to try to emulate our candidates intelligently reasoned responses. If you aren’t capable of that remember that a profanity filled rant is not likely change anyone’s mind or help to get Ron Paul elected. Though the odds may be against Dr. Paul his supporters are clearly motivated, visible, and vocal. Everything depends on the early primary states. If his supporters vote in mass I think his chances are very good because the other candidates seem to get a very apathetic following and a national opinion poll doesn’t mean people will get off their butts to go vote. So you early state voters make sure your registration is in order, get your friends to register republican and carpool to the polls in mass. Those of us in the rest of the country will continue to work on fundraising and positive media attention through our meetup groups and by spreading the gospel of Ron Paul: Limited constitutional federal government, a non-interventionist foreign policy, personal liberty, and personal responsibility.
