That study stated the US need to control vital,natural,global resources for its own interests and also said that spreading democracy and raising living standards was a sentimental day dream best diapensed with. The studyconcluded that, in future, the US would have to deal in "straight power concepts" to secure control over its needed resources. The Kennan study is as clear a statement of the crocodile's game as has ever been made. The crocodile's game is simple: satisfy all appetites by whatever means and at whatever cost necessary. We have seen the game played well in the Middle East for decades, first by the British and French and then the Americans. Now that peak oil and decline has been understood by the elite sectors of the US, the game has gotten more extreme amd more desparate.
