The general record of this monster, well documented by Tom DiLorenzo, proves on balance Dishonest Abe's utter mendacity and perfidiousness and infamous actions. The man who, in fact, destroyed the real Union, imposed Hamiltonianism, began US imperial ambitions, and who didn't oppose slavery and wanted to ship pre-1808 Blacks back to Africa is a man who doesn't deserve a break.
