True, competetive combat sports is largely considered a young man's domain, but what you demonstrated so admirably was true gentlemanely sportsmanship, which is ageless. Deciding (at 70) to compete in a totaly new martial art dicipline, against much more experienced competetion is great when you win. But more importantly you took part and were an inspiration to all of us (youngsters.) When you were fighting you were in the here and now, not reliving past glories(that comes later over a glass of good wine.)I maybe your sensei on the mat, but you have taught us all a valuable lesson in life, by your examble on and off the mat.
