A Palestinian Arab is definitely a Semite; whether an Ashkenazic Jew is is an interesting question. I'm not against either per se, but Likudniks give me the botts. Senator Lieberman of Connecticut, for example, is of the Likudnik persuasion. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz isn't, and doubtless Professor Dershowitz would call it constructively anti-Semitic and its staff self-hating Jews.
