I simply see a bunch of people removed from one community of neighbors, and enjoined with a community of religionists. That doesn't make for a solid community of neighbors. I'd have to say that both communities are weakened by a lack of investment. one community gets your heart and the other gets your mind. Unitarian not athiest. Dogma is a distastful choice.
