Paul's campaign would be aghast if he'd ram through the Gold Standard, and think it's highly unlikely that Congress would go along with any such proposal. What is likely, however, is that his talk of "sound money" would prompt the Fed to take its duty regulating derivatives much more seriously, a development that would have greatly benefited shareholders in Citigroup.
