Entry: Ron Paul: It's Payback Time Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/ron_paul_its_payback_time#11201 Post contents: <i>you will have a continuation of the neo-con kill and spend country for the foreseeable future. </i> I really don't belong in this debate because, on the American political spectrum, I'm a "leftist" (although on the European one, I'd be a "Christian Democrat" or a "wet Tory"), but I really can't figure out why all the "conservatives" here believe that the Democrats are going to be stupid enough to nominate Hillary Clinton and then lose to a Huckabee or a Giuliani. They won't: they're as tired of polarized, dynastic politics as the more sensible, more libertarian and moderate Republicans are. They're going to nominate Obama and then they're probably going to sweep to so overwhelming a victory as to force the Republican party back to its small-government roots.
