The destruction of Iraq has done more to make me hostile to Israel than anything else. Remember that there were calls for destroying Iraq over the WMD issue as soon as President Hussein, on April 1 1990, said "If they attack, our fire will eat half of Israel". Indeed, it is absurd to think that these ostentatious punishments have been implemented for the sake of Kuwait. When the Kuwaiti emir died recently, who noticed? I think that some Jews and Israelis believe in committing monstrous crimes because the more monstrous the crime, the harder it is to accuse them because those making the accusation is reluctant to expose Jews to danger through publicising the crimes. Those who do make the accusation also are accused of being motivated out of a desire to harm Jews. It's also true that many Jewish leaders are acting out Jewish stereotypes, with the perfect cover that should someone call them for their actions, they would be accused of promoting Jewish stereotpyes and canards.
