Message: Entry: The Kissinger Connection Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/the_kissinger_connection#1171 Post contents: From reading all the comments it is quite obvious that, at least among the commentators - and perhaps by extrapolation among many more people who visit Taki's Top drawer - there is an agreement about the sinister role and mission of the cabal of "Israel First" Likudniks in US, Neocons, AEI, JINSA and others and that Israel is now at the center of most of what is wrong with American policy. The question I would like to see answered is: Are these people, with whose views I am agreement, a pathetic minority unable even to budge the huge majority of Americans who hold the exactly opposite view of the world and therefore are insignificant? If there is even a modicum of parity between the two groups (assuming that those favoring Israel are just as committed), then can a civil war be too far off? And when the dust settles after the second American civil war, regardless of who wins, what can American Jews and Israel expect from a humiliated, demoralized, impoverished (and perhaps physically divided) America? ... Let us all (including the decent majority of American Jews, the ones I call Samaritans as opposed to Judeans) work together to inject some reason and balance in American foreign policy before an incalculable catastrophe strikes this great nation.
