The oligarchs have a lot to hide and answer for. Bits of truth come to light, by times, but the noise of everyday America (look at television if you can bear it) serves to keep the street ignorant and confused. Who among us hasn't suffered a conversation with someone who "just doesn't know" and, more to the point, refuses to be enlightened? As I've followed this dark chapter in American history, the Monroe Doctrine has come to mind more than once.
