Message: Entry: The NIE Revisited Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/the_nie_revisited#12069 Post contents: it's strange that the worst articles you cited are the most widely available. When i first became interested in the middle east after 9/11, the most accsible stuiff was laurie mylroie and stuff like that, stuff you wouldn't even look at as a joke now. In economics it's the same thing, the shelves are filled with JK Galbraith and stuff like that. and when these experts are discredited, they remain when logically they should be displaced. I was on Mises.org blog and some guy was asking if he shold by some book by michael oren or something and i was like no, what ar you insane? the other guy was talking a blu streak about the 12 mahdi and dhimmitude, real rank circa 03 neoconservatism. it wasn't his fault, they put that stuff out there.
