The French and Indian War is to much overlooked and wonderfully intricate, massacres and all. My people arrived a little to late to participate but they did make it in time for the revolution and got a section in the Ohio country for their efforts. My Irish ancestors were working folks who delighted in having a roof over their head and food on the table and though none grew rich they lived in communion with the church and community, wrote their books, got in their cups, engaged in fist fights, sent their sons to war, played their music, sang, and danced in a neighborhood known as "Irishtown."
