For it really is hard to believe that such astounding incompetence can exist even in government. As for the Democrats and their “opposition” to this war, one need only look to their current spiel that the Iraqis must prove to us, in some ridiculous subjective manner, why they deserve the sweet attentions of American troops on their soil, as even the collection of quislings our media calls the “Iraqi government” votes on resolutions demanding the withdrawal of the US military from their country. The “debate” on the war in this country is utterly separated from the reality on the ground. There is no “opposition” in Washington.
