I especially applaud his comments on unity with the Eastern Churches, in including the Oriental and Coptic churches. I too plan to spend part of today learning about CL. Serious social and political Catholicism needs to take seriously Catholic Social Teaching beginning with Leo XIII. Although this tradition has its roots in the French Legitimists, it's not quite the same as "conservatism", praiseworthy as it otherwise is. "Rich" needs to define "clan" for me.
