Are you seriously suggesting that, even though Francis encouraged contraception among non-whites, he would have drawn the line at encouraging sterilization? OK. I acknowledge the distinction, retract the sterilization claim, and apologize for relying too much on a faulty memory. Replace sterilization with contraception.
