Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/say_it_loud_isolationist_and_proud#14187 Post contents: I agree with the article over-all but it should be pointed out that the "openning" of Japan, intervention in China, the Hawaii coup d'etat, and the war against Spain and conquest of the Filipines were early adventures in trans-Pacific imperialism which seemed like a good idea at the time but eventually led to well over 100,000 American deaths in the Pacific theater of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
