His argument for a mixed system, incorporating Catholicism and monarchy while eccentric are also persuasive when taken in detail. It's a shame most of his books are out of print. He was once the European correspondent for the National Review long ago when it was a conservative journal. If you haven't read him I suggest you do, if for no other reason than for his critique of democracy and post-Christian social thought. I doubt that he is still alive. If he is he is very old indeed.
