Entry: Why I publish this magazine Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/why_i_publish_this_magazine#15 Post contents: Hello there Mr Theodorakopulos, I agree broadly with your sentiments (although your historical support of the VietNam war-crime shows that you vastly over-rated the threat of Socialism), but I feel compelled to take issue with the nonsense about Iran being no threat to the US. Not that it's not true, it's just that it's not RELEVANT. Germany was no threat to England in either 1914 or 1939 (in fact old Adolf said clearly that Blighty was NECESSARY - he admired them.) Les Hommes Politiques - those vile tapeworm-in-human-form who sustain themselves by draining the economy of as much of its product as possible - are the folks who start wars, and it's always and forever, only for the reason of benefiting a narrow clique of courtesans who spend their lives on their knees in front of politicians. They reap far greater benefits than most whores, but they are operating the same way. I guess the difference is that it is always the mere mortals in the economy that actually get screwed... I doubt that there has been a war of genuine national security since the Pelepponesian. I've been an admirer of your work since the mid-90's in the Spectator days (before Boris the Turk took over as editor, and back when that dunce Steyn knew his place).
