To wit: "The market is exclusively a world market; there isn’t any other—at least for people who wish economically to prosper." That's silliness, of course, as any Austrian economist or even Austrian national could tell you. There are markets that, by their very nature, are obviously local--perishable goods, for instance. In fact, both time preference and subjective valuation--two of the most important contributions of the Austrian school to economics--are quite useful in studying the microeconomics of local economies, including local markets.
