To wit: <i>"The market is exclusively a world market; there isn’t any other—at least for people who wish economically to prosper."</i> That's silliness, of course, as any Austrian economist or even Austrian national could tell you. There are markets that, by their very nature, are obviously local--perishable goods, for instance. In fact, both time preference and subjective valuation--two of the most important contributions of the Austrian school to economics--are quite useful in studying the microeconomics of local economies, including local markets.
