Message: Entry: Ozymandias Airlines Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/ozymandias_airlines#16143 Post contents: A true outrage. But it is indicative of a larger problem. I first visited the DC area in 1977, and had the impression it was about as well to do as greater Cleveland, where I am from. I could have been wrong in my impression, but there is no doubt about the reality today: the DC metro area is vastly richer than greater Cleveland, or any other metro area in the country, because the rest of us are taxed to support our Imperial City. It will be a true sign of progress when the DC suburbs begin experiencing a profound and sustained drop in population, since that would be an unmistakable sign that we have returned to a government of constitutional dimensions. But I doubt we will ever see such a happy development. Sent at: 2008 07 09
