In the same vein, the "Alpha Males'" efforts to oppose Islamofascism are strengthening, not weakening it. (Even Rumsfeld had a short moment of clear thinking, when he wondered aloud "Are we creating more terrorists than destroying?) Note that there is no disagreement about the goal of America's greatness. Opinions differ only on the methods how to achieve that greatness. McCain is highly vulnerable to the criticism that the warlike policies he advocates have greatly strenthened radical Islam and caused a drastic collapse of US popularity in the world -- see the Pew global opinion surveys.
