I doubt that the good doctor can pull that off this November. Dr. Paul can have a greater impact by staying in the GOP. For one thing, he can serve to remind voters with an inferior knowledge of history (hardly a minority!) that the party once opposed crusades for democracy (until the neocon wing of the Democrats migrated to the GOP).
