I have lived around DC for 10 years and they usually don't, even locally. But, I also don't think the 3rd party idea is really beneficial. The deck is stacked. We need to act like in the neocons (did I just write that?!?) and co-opt a part with the libertarian caucus. This won't be quick, but without the direct and unified participation within one of the parties, the message will never reach the masses. That said, is there a libertarian caucus within the Republican Party or even the Democratic Party? I would lean to making one in the Republican Party, based on the platform, but after W, maybe the Democrats would be easier. Sent at: 2008 07 06
