Message: Entry: The Right's Science Problem Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/the_rights_science_problem#17265 Post contents: there is still doubt about whether a scientific method even exists, even if scientists pretend otherwise. I don't think there is doubt about whether there is a "scientific method" that "scientists" recognize as being "ideal" or "proper"--the question is whether this method is the only way to reason about nature, or if it yields certainty or not. If it does not yield certainty, does that mean that there are not other ways of reasoning that do? Sent at: 2008 07 09
