Message: Entry: Honor-Killings, Islam, and Christendom Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/honor_killings_islam_and_christendom#1783 Post contents: My ancestors believed that baptism should be given upon confession of faith rather than at birth. For this they were killed. The logical leap required to assume that "He that is not with me is against me" applies as easily to a certain group of bishops as it does to Christ himself is large, but made easier by wealth and power. Without the Protestant Reformation, the Muslims would have taken over 300 years ago, because the abuses of Catholicism (including but not limited to the inquisition and the selling of indulgences) were killing the religious impulse of the common people.
