Entry: Kosovo, Russia, and the Last Grasps of American Unipolarity Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/kosovo_and_the_last_grasps_of_american_unipolarity#18524 Post contents: i have not read all comments here, so i'll just make my point. it seems some of commenters fail to see what is wrong with Kosovo independence declaration. the problem lies here: if you permit independence of Kosovo, then you should permit it to others: Abkhazia, Palestine, Kurdistan, Basque Country, Kashmir, Tibet.. the list is long. don't think that's going to happen, as most of, lets say, 'parent' states are either too strong to take them head on or a 'friend' of omnipotent America. map here clearly illustrates my point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Kosovo_relations.svg Kosovo's independence is tolerated only because US has some obscure 'strategic' interests there. so, please, spare me hypocrisy.
