" But Buchanan made a reasoned case why Kerry would have been worse than Bush. Buchanan is not a one- or even a tw-issue ideologue. Peroutka had no chance, and none of the other candidates were conservative. Bush was conservative on God, guns, gays, and the courts. Perfect, no, compromised, sure, but Kerry was absolutely liberal on all these things. I still don't see how *any* of the self-styled conservatives at American Conservative coul possibly have supported Nader or Kerry.
