He has written very detailed and well thought out criticisms of the war from the beginning. Not many thinkers have done better. Go read his archive at antiwar.com. I suspect Buchanan thinks he can still be influential in the Republican party. So he tries not to burn that bridge. I think he is wrong about this but anybody can read his articles and see where he stands and where he stood on the war. This is a far better cry than nearly all Democrats. Maybe Russ Feingold as an exception. The Democrats have done nothing but cower to Bush's war propaganda. They are all cowards. Hillary and Obama and Thier bomb them harder rhetoric during the Lebanon fiasco. Obama and his hanging Durbin out to dry for opposing the Guantanamo torture. Just who the hell are you proposing Taki back? I'd take Buchanan...easily over nearly all Democrats and Republicans...a few notable exceptions like Chuck Hagel and Russ Feingold.
