The single-issue anti-war crowd is myopic. And I love the expression "she's a monster." An English friend and I use it all the time to describe the various "professional" women we deal with - lawyerettes, PR gals, museum and gallery people, socialites, Long Island housewives in Range Rovers...most NY women are in fact monsters. BTW, Dana Perino, the pretty ice princess who lies for Bush, is also a monster. This Powers woman, however, strikes me as a grad school androgen. She does not rise to the level of monster.
