First, it was not my intention to absolutely absolve all Americans from their responsibilities, whether they be moral or political. Each one of us has a duty to God, our Creator; and, this is based on the nature of our upbringing and education. In other words, the idea of responsibility has been inculcated from an early age in most of us. There is no doubt, that many children are victims of parental abuse for various reasons. By that I do not mean physical, I mean a lack of moral duty. Whether the liberal-progressive element of our society denounces me, it doesn't matter, because there is no doubt that the moral order of society has been ordained by God and is natural and self-evident. Nevertheless, those Americans who keep playing the Republica n-Democratic game, and allow such AHs as George Bush, Dick Cheney et al., to continue in power, do harm to the nation in which they were nurtured. I guess, Mr. Stewart, you might call that a sort of rationalization. Anyway, I do respect your position. Mr. Foy, it is possible I may be corrected by your most perceptive observation apropos the hopeful resignation of George Bush and Dick Cheney. I just perused a report on MSNBC (can they be trusted) on the WEB. According to its report, "The Senate Judiciary Committee subpoenaed the White House and Vice President Dick Cheney's office Wednesday (today) for documents relating to President Bush's controverisal eavesdropping program that operated warrant-free for five years." As I look on the horizon, I do see your speculation that Georgie and Dickie may have to resign, which does nothing for justice. Whatever, I submit my apologies to you for insinuating (or was it a bald-faced declaration) that your perceptions were impossible. However, the enemy is like the mythical Hydra. We may, as you suggest, cut off the head of one, but another will appear. Frankly, our hope is not in the political process, unless, Christ be its KING! My best wishes to you both. Sent at: 2008 07 24
