I do wish that you had also mentioned the reason why so few Catholics are left in Lviv. The communists basically undoing the war Polish-Soviet war of 1920-22, all but ethnically cleansed Galicia of Poles and Polish Jews. My family, Jews from Drohobycz, having previously been persecuted by the NKVD and then the Nazis, were expelled like most others.
