As I recall it, when the ax began to fall on certain types who wrote for NR, there were a number of "good men" on the masthead, as well. Joe Sobran, Mel Bradford, Murray Rothbard....all were expelled and banned. And my essential question remains: once this process is begun, how is it to be determined whether a Jared Taylor, or a E. Michael Jones, or a Tomislav Sunic, just to take some random examples, would be permitted, or if those expressing their ideas would be permitted? Would a detailed discussion of Nostra Aetate be "permitted" (as last year)? No, despite the best of intentions, I think this could well be a slippery slope, and there is no where to go but down. I think most regular readers (and posters) ignore obvious idiocy and provocations; I just skip over it. I don't think I will be participating on this list when the proposed changes take effect...it seems to me that I would spend too much time worrying about whether my discussion of Charles Maurras would be considered "anti-semitic," or my statements about the undeniable differences genetically between the races might be considered "racist."
