Unfortunately, the Republican Party and the conservative movement have degenerated into mindless jingoism. The only way towards a foreign policy based on non-interventionism and genuine national interest is to reinstate the draft. Perhaps then the Christian Zionists and the yahoos who listen to Rush Limbaugh and watch Fox News would not be so enthusiastic for war if their sons were doing the fighting in Iraq and Iran.
