Message: Entry: Jimmy and Jerusalem Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/jimmy_and_jerusalem#24032 Post contents: The statement that Israel is within its rights to refuse former President Carter protection is correct in a petty, hateful Talmudic way. But as an American nationalist I expect respect for this nation from all other nations, and more so from a client state that plays its national anthem by endlessly rattling a tin cup. The refusal was an insult to every American, not only Carter. To defend the action, or inaction, is to give Israeli arrogance a higher value than the common curtesy due any American of Carter's stature, whatever one's personal opinion of the particular American. Not being a fan of Jimmy Carter does not lead me to endorse insulting him, as it does Spartacus who seems to think Americans must be content to mutter something about it being rainy when faces have been spat upon. Assumong Spartacus is American he should be offended. If he is a zionist his position is comprehensible, though rude in a way that Israelis specialize in. Sent at: 2008 09 08
