I am glad to see that Mr. Wolf's silly attack has brought Kirk some of the attention he still merits. I would raise a small quibble which I hope to expand on some day soon. Pragmatism, as Charles Peirce conceived it and Josiah Royce, Ernest Hocking, Clarence Lewis and others developed it, was a profoundly conservative philosophy.
