Well, probably because Holland is just as liberal and "wimpy" as most of the West. We're no exception. Do you seriously think that Wilders would be completely safe in say, Sweden, the US or Japan? Who's saying "the best"? Get real. We're just not the worst, which would be France or the UK, at least imho. Now, these countries are out for self-destruction. Just don't confuse Dutch politics with Dutch public opinion. (Also, you can't compare the US with Europe on the immigration issue. We're facing entirely different problems.) Nobody's ever doomed.
