More importantly, has such an event occurred in the Christian West? Recently, I have been having grave doubts about the possibility of this undertaking, which is why I have been drifting more libertarian and don't feel comfortable with the label "conservative" anymore. Dr. Gottfried's definition of the post-paleo right as being more libertarian than anything else describes me well.
