Message: Entry: After Paleoconservatism (II) Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/after_paleoconservatism_ii#24919 Post contents: Even in such a scenario, there is no guarantee that we’ll have medieval Catholic villages rising from the rubble. Of course not, but who has suggested such a thing? The restoration I've discussed, here and elsewhere, is not some carbon copy of something that once existed but now no longer does, but a new historical incarnation of life the way it was meant to be lived. Man was not meant to live by abstract principles in centralized societies, as the very moral, aesthetic, social, and (soon) political and economic collapse of such societies indicates. Does that necessarily tell us what a new, decentralized, rooted order will look like in the particulars? Of course not. Sent at: 2008 07 04
