In any case, my main point was that Ron Paul's failure to win even one primary suggests that most Americans have little interest in decentralized authority. True, Paul wanted to encourage decentralization from DC, but it seems that a federal politician would have to be the catalyst to motivate these so-called organic communities (who must have stayed home while Paul was campaigning).
