Stein (like his well known father before him)is an extremely hardcore Zionist. I believe that this book was written specifically to reinforce the bond between the Likudniks like Stein and the fundies. The fundies reading a book like this are bound to think that "Ben Stein thinks like we do, so we should support Israel with the same fervor as old Stein." And yes, I believe that Stein is actually cynical enough to believe that his book will have that desired effect. I don't believe for a minute that he actually believes what he has written. Rather it is a tome specifically written for the unwashed, a group someone like Stein openly ridicules when he is among his fellow Likudniks. Sent at: 2008 07 20
