For those of you who continue to believe it is a good idea to vote for Obama because of his foreign policy orientation, I urge you to consider that securing the border is the issue of our time. What happens in Iraq or even Iran pales in comparison to the irreversible destruction we face as a nation if we do not stop the tide of third-world immigration into our country. Iraq is nothing, the border is everything. Vote for the president who will do the most to secure our borders, even if it’s not much. In recognition of the mortal threat presented to the United States by illegal immigration, I have settled for the president who “probably” wants to secure the border first before dealing out amnesty. In stark contrast to McCain, Hillary and Obama have openly declared their antipathy for border security and even support such ludicrous ideas as giving driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. Also, for those of you who believe we need a liberal in office to galvanize the populous base, I would argue against this idea because the “moderate” McCain will accomplish this when he tries once again to institute his amnesty plan of “comprehensive immigration reform.” Sent at: 2008 07 06
