Affirmative action, after all, was merely the way that the wealthy passed the responsibility for racism on down the economic ladder. It doesn't interfere with the right of a C- student like Bush to get into a Ivy League college on a "legacy"; it merely pits the great-great grandson of a slave against the grandson of a Slovak coal miner for whatever slots are left over after the wealthy get first pick. The defination of Liberalism since the 60's has been "hypocrisy", or as Steve Sailor says, having other people pay the cost of YOUR sense of social justice. The problem with the Republican Party is that it's no longer the party of Nixon's "Silent Majority", but the party of Wall Street Bankers, Trust Fund Babies, the Country Club Crowd, and the CEO classes. Bush's so-called' religious faith, is really a put-on, and his exploitation of it has done more to denigrate the Faithful then anything the Democrats/Neo-Marxists/Academic elite have done in the last 50 years. www.populistprospect.blog.com Sent at: 2008 05 16
