And if you take a look at Mr. Raimondo's other source for IQ stats, you will find a study that uses some highly dubious statistical methods to prove that Mississippi's mean IQ is 15 points below the threshold for mental retardation. Wow, how can he even start to take that seriously? That would mean that approximately half the population of the state of Mississippi would be severely mentally retarded. I guess it's just more proof that some intelligent people can believe some awfully ridiculous things if they fit into their ideological preconceptions. It might also show why some voters in places like West Virginia and Mississippi don't want to elect Blue-state intellectuals who tend to explain voting patterns in these states by dismissing the residents as imbeciles.
