Imagine I said "man are taller than women". You go find a tall female and say HA! Your entire world view is refuted!" What would you think of a person who made such an argument? You'd think they were A) stupid or B) have such an emotional need to believe women are as tall as men that they're willing to throw regular rules of logic out the window.
