Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/which_scots_conservatism_unionist_or_nationalist#26832 Post contents: One thing you don't mention is that Scottish Labour is Catholic dominated, and the short-thrifting of Protestant areas under Labour rule (eg Airdrie vs Coatbridge in Glasgow) spurred the growth of the SNP, which is mostly Protestant, though both parties are officially socialist & non-sectarian.
