We naturally sympathize with each other; we are so inclined towards sympathizing with each other that we can sympathize with non-human animals and even inanimate objects, look up "anthropomorphism" in any dictionary or witness a young child talking to its pets and toys. We depend on the cohesion of the social group and most healthy people try to keep the group together; the sort of defective sociopathic murderer-types would occur with equal frequency regardless of whether Osiris is in their hearts, just as surely as would albinism and conjoined twins.
